How to Generate Credentials for Amazon-Xoro Integration?

Amazon offers two different methods for sellers to fulfill their orders: Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) and Fulfillment by Merchant (FBM).

Fulfilled By Merchant, popularly known as FBM, is when sellers list their products on Amazon and choose to ship products to each buyer by themselves. In other words, sellers are responsible for fulfilling their orders and do not rely on Amazon for the same.

FBA stands for Fulfillment by Amazon. In this case, the seller sends their products to Amazon. They store them in their warehouses. When a customer orders one of their products, Amazon picks, packs, ships and tracks the order for the seller. Amazon also handle returns and refunds in case of fulfillment done by Amazon.

Xoro gives you the ability to integrate both types of Amazon E-Com fulfillments.

Please note that all the settings including the integration, Xoro App settings are the same for both FBA & FBM Amazon connects.

Generate Credentials from Amazon admin

Before you can authenticate a Private App to Amazon, you need to generate the required credentials from the Amazon Admin of the store that you want to connect with your App.

To generate the required credentials**:

  •  From your Amazon Admin, click on “Apps”.
  •  Click on “Manage Private Apps”.
  •  Click on “Create New Private App”.

You will be navigated to the “Create New Private App” page on Amazon.

In the App Details section, enter a Private App Name and an Email.

In the Permissions section, you can grant access to “Read and Write” to view or manage the sections like:

  • Customer details (Customer addresses, Order History, and Customer Groups),
  • Transactions, and Fulfillments,
  • Products, Variants, and Collections,
  • Inventory to view or manage Inventory across multiple Locations,
  • Product listings, Reports, etc.

When you’re done, click Save.

This will generate the API key that will be displayed on the screen. This API Key will provide access to your Amazon Store’s Data.

Note: Treat the API key and password like you would any other password since whoever has access to these credentials has full API access to the store.

STEP 5. Once the App Key is generated, you can fill in the Amazon Credentials like App Share Secret, Consumer Key, and the Password into the Amazon Sales Channel App.

After you have the required credentials, Sign in to the Amazon Sales Channel Account in Xoro.

Now this Private App can access your Amazon Store’s Data.
