Yes, it is possible to transfer inventory within the same store locations while receiving inventory through the Transfer Orders.
Transfer Orders are used to transfer inventory from one warehouse to another. Read more about Transfer Orders here.
Added an App Config setting ‘Enable Transfer PO and SO within Store Locations‘ in the Purchase tab.
If this setting is on, Items can be received within the store locations.
While creating the Transfer Sales Order, you can ship the Items from one store location to another.
While receiving the Transfer PO, the user can select the location where the inventory will be received.
Choose the location from the drop-down menu and you will receive the inventory at the selected location of the Store.
